Laing Middle School Orchestra

Private Lessons

Students who enjoy their instruments and who are interested in improving their performance may consider taking private lessons. Private instructors teach one on one, at the student's pace, and help each student develop technical and musical skills specific to their instruments. These skills can be well applied in an orchestra setting, and in most cases, students who work with a private instructor progress much faster than those who do not. Teacher fees vary and are generally between $25 to $60 an hour. Lesson lengths may also vary. If you are interested in getting instruction see the list of recommended teachers below. Students interested in auditioning for competitive orchestras like Region and All-State Orchestra are recommended to take lessons.
